Mission
Services for people with developmental disabilities are being confronted with challenges that were unimaginable only a few short years ago. Rhode Island is nationally recognized for its high quality, cost effective and innovative programs in providing services to people with developmental disabilities, but now, real threats exist to the continuation of programs that families, staff, volunteers and citizens of good will have taken decades to build. 

The Community Provider Network of Rhode Island (CPNRI) sees the challenges so many of our families, consumers and service providers confront. We believe it is essential that we work together to support and expand services for the people we care so much about.

With the support of CPNRI’s Board of Directors, we are leading an effort to develop a strong political presence which will be critical in helping us reach our goals of:

Building public awareness of CPNRI and its members
(service provider agencies)

Informing and educating the public on the value and contributions agencies make everyday in the lives of people with disabilities.

Informing and educating the public about the service Direct Support Professionals provide to people with disabilities so that they are able to live and work in the community.

CPNRI seeks to reach out to our community, policy-makers and legislators to share the important story as to why services are critically needed and we are asking for your help. Please visit the following pages for more information.
