proAbility is a grass roots, non-profit association serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. We are a local affiliate of a state-wide and national advocacy organization formed in 1959 by a small group of parents concerned about the quality of life for their family members with disabilities. We presently provide services and outreach to fourteen cities and towns in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our services are flexible and varied to meet each individual's and families needs.
proAbility is dedicated to providing quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the State of Rhode Island. With a rich and diverse history of forty-six years, we are a family focused organization that works in partnership with individuals and families to meet their life-long dreams and needs.

"...to strive for the right of all people with developmental disabilities to be valued as individuals, to experience choice, and to be fully included in all aspects of community life." We accomplish this mission by working in partnership with many different stakeholders.
