DSP Recognition Week is here!

The Community Provider Network of Rhode Island is celebrating national Direct Support Professional Recognition Week from September 13 - 19 alongside many other disability organizations across the country.  Our virtual celebration, DSPs: Exceptional and Essential, recognizes Rhode Island’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs); the workers who provide support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Below you will see a scrolling list of CPNRI member organizations’ currently employed DSPs and their years of service.

Throughout the week, we will show our appreciation of DSPs by posting photos, videos, and thank you messages on here on our website, on our Facebook and Twitter. Please support our efforts by following our pages, and liking/sharing our posts to acknowledge DSPs.

We also welcome you to take a minute to make your own social media posts this week. Remember, DSPs work Sunday through Saturday, so we will be celebrating them all week! We would love to hear your stories and see your pictures/videos of DSPs doing amazing work. Please tag @CPNRI and use #DSPsExceptionalEssential. This way, we can see one another’s stories, and DSPs can see your messages.

CPNRI’s social media is public, so even if you do not have your own personal page, you can still head to our pages to see our posts!

Let's take the week to show appreciation and say “thanks” to Rhode Island’s DSPs for the essential work they do on a daily basis, and recognize their tireless efforts to keep the people they support safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
